Introducing our New Coordinator of Lifespan Faith Formation
Please join the hiring team in welcoming our new Coordinator of Lifespan Faith Formation, Hayden Hite!
Hayden Hite (they/them) comes to Peoples Church with a formal education in international relations and an interest in sustainable community development. Originally from Elgin, Illinois, they moved to Cedar Rapids to attend Coe College; during that time they were a Queer Mentor and worked as a camp counselor in Quebec before graduating in 2019, then beginning work at a community non-profit in Iowa City, NCJC. Outside of work, they are passionate about many things, most notably fiber arts, creative writing, and their pets (Gilan, Tenzin, and Peter).
Hayden uses mobility aids in daily life due to a connective tissue disorder, and has a lot of patience and compassion for those who may be confused or who are seeking better understanding of mobility aids. All to say, donβt be afraid to ask!
Hayden hopes to help create an environment of radical acceptance and safety where Peoples people can learn and grow in their spiritual path!
Come welcome Hayden on their first Sunday at the Potluck Picnic in the Park on July 5, 2026!
