Lift Proposal Passes during Special Congregational Meeting
The Lift Project: Part 1
This will be the first in a series of brief articles about progress on the lift replacement project, which was unanimously approved in the 20 September meeting of the congregation.
The purpose of the series will be two-fold. First, it will provide you with regular updates on the evolving status of the project. Second, it will hopefully encourage you to consider contributing to the cost of the project.
While the lift replacement project is already fully funded, a portion of that funding is from the church’s Capital Fund reserves. Our hope is that we can replace that portion of the funding with individual contributions, maintaining all or part of the balance for future accessibility projects. If we are successful in raising more than the monetary requirements for the lift, the overage will be directed into the “Building Accessibility Projects” fund to support future projects.
