FAITH FORMATION UPDATE
Year In Review
Thank you to all volunteers, teachers, families, and supporters.
Improved spaces: Youth and Children’s rooms were cleaned, reorganized, and redecorated.
Community events: Hosted Game Night (with Membership Team) and the Halloween Party/Costume Contest.
Multigenerational learning: Held monthly forums around the UUA Common Read Social Change Now.
Stronger worship connection: Integrated Faith Formation themes more closely with worship services.
Professional development: Bridget completed UUA “Meet the Moment” training and consulted on effective use of resources.
Looking Forward
Faith Formation goal: Build relationships by gathering across ages within the church and wider community.
Challenge: Age-segregated programming limits connection; we want to change that.
New approach: Experiment with more community-oriented, multigenerational forms of Faith Formation.
Positive signs: Early success with Game Night and the Social Change Now forums.
Shift in focus: Shift from focus on Sunday-morning curriculum heavy classes to more relationship and community building experiences.
Collaboration: Work more closely with other PCUU teams to plan shared activities and events.
