Meet our Building & Grounds Committee!

The Building & Grounds Committee would like to introduce ourselves and our work for Peoples Church. Current committee members are Steve Hershner and Ann Woodward as co-chairs, Bob Butikofer, Tom Hess, and Bill Hart. We meet monthly. The committee’s mission is to create a safe, welcoming, accessible, and environmentally sustainable setting for Peoples’ people to pursue the mission of the church. As the committee title illustrates, work includes both the care of the inside and outside of the building, and the surrounding grounds.

The committee has just completed the major project of the year which was the accessibility ramps. Thank you all for your input and support for the project. We have also performed a long list of small maintenance tasks.

The members of the committee welcome your concerns and ideas about the church – inside or outside. Committee members are available to listen. Please stop to visit with any of us if you have thoughts about what we can do to make our worship place beautiful and safe. The committee will keep you aware of what we are doing and how you can help. For example, clean-up day on April 18, 2026.
