“Playing Together” at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Led by Covenant of UU Pagans — August 2nd is the date Pagans celebrate Lammas or the Celtic festival of Lughnasa. In the spirit of our pluralist heritage, join the Peoples Pagans CUUPS members as we celebrate this first harvest. It is a time of games and giving thanks to Mother Earth for the food provided this harvest season. After the service, we will have a potluck in the Andre Room to continue the traditional celebration. Join the festival and bring a dish to share.

Second Sunday Social Justice Forum at 9:45 a.m. in the Ely Room

“On the Count of Three: Pulling Together” at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Led by Rev. Carin Bringelson — Physics teaches us about gravity, force, and inertia. It takes energy to change the trajectory of a mass – and for Unitarian Universalists, that energy comes from Love. No love is too small to add to our collective endeavors. How do we best pull together to be “Stronger Together?” And what does sweet potato pie have to do with all this?

Sunday, August 16

“Still Writing the Story” at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Led by Danny Anderson, PCUU Member — Our lives are not rigid scripts carved in stone, but living narratives still unfolding. Every transition, unexpected turn, and quiet moment of growth reminds us that the pen is still in our hands. Join us as we explore the beauty of the unfinished chapters of our journeys, the grace of starting over, and the collective hope we share as we co-author a more compassionate future.

Sunday, August 23

“Blessing the Beginner’s Mind” at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Led by Rev. Carin Bringelson — On this day before the new school year begins for many students, we will bless ALL of the learners who are starting classes this fall. Everyone is invited to bring symbols of their learning locations, such as the backpacks for school, the yoga mats for meditation class, and/or the books for Frog Church. Yes, you read that right: Frog Church. Together we will bless the journeys we’re on as we search for truth and meaning.

Sunday, August 30

“Lead with Love” at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Led by Rev. Carin Bringelson and Rishi Wagle — Last month the Association of Unitarian Universalist Music Ministries (AUUMM) held their annual conference in Milwaukee, WI. The theme was “Lead with Love.” Come with open hearts and minds as we share musical reflections and explorations.
