  • “Possibility Found in the Passover Story” at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Led by Rev. Carin Bringelson and Laura McGraw — On this Easter Sunday, we’ll explore the life and religious context of Jesus of Nazareth by sharing the Jewish Passover story. What lessons might the ancient experiences of moving towards greater freedom teach us today?  After worship, there will be an EGG-tra EGG-citing EGG-hunt at Jacolyn Park sponsored by the Faith Formation Council.

  • “Dreaming to Be Me,” at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Led by Ellie Krug, pulpit guest — At the age of fifty-two, today’s pulpit guest transitioned from male to female while living in Cedar Rapids. Although not at all easy, transitioning genders gave Ellie the opportunity for a “do-over” in life.  What might we learn by embracing the possibility of living authentically? On Saturday, April 25, Ellie will be facilitating a workshop on Gray Area Thinking at 3:00 p.m.
