Banned Books Week: October 4 through 10

Banned Books Week starts Sunday, October 4. This annual event draws attention to attempts to censor access to books and celebrates the freedom to read.

Look for the many posters highlighting books that have been banned located on the walls throughout our church building. Plan to attend the First Hour on Sunday, October 11 when church member Renae Bernstein, who is a librarian, will speak to us about the efforts to ban books and the ways we can stand up for the intellectual freedom to read.
