“Liberatory Love Notes” Sent to Minnesota

On 2/8/26, Peoples Church created “Liberatory Love Notes” during worship service.  Congregants were invited to take a heart-shaped post-it-note home with them as a reminder. This week, Rev. Carin sent the extras to congregations in the Twin Cities.

Here’s the letter that was sent with the post-it note hearts:

“To our beloved Unitarian Universalist kin,

The members and friends of Peoples Church Unitarian Universalist in Cedar Rapids, IA are inspired and encouraged by the Liberatory Love you’re embodying these days in the face of authoritarianism.

Please accept the enclosed Liberatory Love notes as a reminder that you are not alone – say it together now: “Interdependence!” – as you put your bodies into action.

May your spirits stay strong as we all live out our UU values everyday.”

Thank you, Peoples people, for being part of the interconnected web of Unitarian Universalism!
