What is Guest at Your Table?
For over fifty years, Guest at Your Table (GAYT) has invited faith communities to bring human rights and solidarity into their homes and daily meals. Through GAYT, Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) encourages congregations and families to “host” global human-rights leaders — known as their “guests” — by learning their stories, reflecting on justice, and contributing financially.
Each year, GAYT spotlights a handful of grassroots partners working on urgent issues such as climate justice, migration, water rights, and political freedom. The 2025–2026 theme, “Plant Seeds of Justice,” features activists protecting water defenders in Honduras, asylum-seeker support for LGBTQIA+ migrants in Philadelphia, Haitian migration advocates, and political prisoners fighting for government accountability.
By placing a donation box on the dinner table — often used for daily meals or holiday gatherings — participants transform everyday acts of eating and gathering into rituals of solidarity and giving. Over weeks of reflection and small contributions, these efforts combine to support community-led justice work worldwide. The project fosters connection, raises awareness, and channels funds to grassroots organizations striving for dignity, equity, and human rights.
Please return your Guest at Your Table boxes to PCUU by Sunday, January 11, 2026.
