Music of the Month — April 2026
The April 2026 Hymn of the Month is “My Religion” composed by Linda Smith Koehler. It can be found in our new virtual hymnal at: https://www.singoutlove.org/ which you can access by contacting the church office at admin@pcuu.org.
The backstory about the song: In September 2021, Linda overheard a conversation between two Christians talking about their faith which inspired her to refine how she would explain her 30-year-long UU faith.
During a walk in the woods near her house, she got her answer in the form of this song. This is her “elevator speech,” which includes the lyrics: My religion is this beautiful Earth, forests and fields and seas.

This community song reminds us that “what we seed in the dark grows.” The dark, rich nutrients of the earth allow us to surrender to mystery.
