Music of the Month — September 2026

Hymn of the Month: The September 2026 Hymn of the Month is “May I Be Light” by Mykal Slack, arranged by Adam Podd.

"May I Be Light" is a simple chant that has been sung as an opening song at the start of a gathering, or as a song of prayer or preparation leading up to a sermon or reflection. Rev. Mykal Slack wrote the song on the chancel at First Parish in Cambridge right before preaching in February 2014.

If you’d like to access this song in the Sing Out Love virtual hymnal, contact the church office at admin@pcuu.org.

Lea Morris Song: Our exclusively curated song from Lea Morris for this month’s theme of Interdependence is a song entitled “Life Will Find a Way.”

This song was originally written as a song of gratitude, respect and appreciation for our earth. It was commissioned by Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
