Social Justice Update (8/28/25)

The Social Justice Council will be holding its next two monthly meetings on Tuesday, September 16 and Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom.  We are inviting all of Peoples people to join us at these meetings.

Our Second Sunday Plate Collection for the 3rd quarter is going to the Iowa Environmental Council.  We are planning to read the book The Swine Republic by Christopher S. Jones. There are two copies of the book in the church library that may be borrowed.  The book is also available from the public library and online.  

Drought, deluge and unsafe drinking water is happening in our state and there will be forums on this issue on the following dates. Please mark your calendars!
